Biometric access control
for government agencies

PARTNER REVIEW

«NtechLab’s algorithms that were used in the implementation of the access control system in the „Tower of Ministries“, have proven to be accurate and fail-safe. Face recognition allows us to ensure the security of the entire building complex and make access quick and convenient».

PROJECT IN NUMBERS

Reliable and fast passage by face with the utmost security
8 turnstiles
equipped with a biometric system for access to the building by face
Less than 1 second
required to identify the visitor’s face
Up to 3 seconds
takes the whole process until the turnstile opens

PARTNERSHIP OUTCOME

The «Tower of Ministries», one of the skyscrapers of the IQ Quarter complex in Moscow City, was equipped with a contactless access control system with facial recognition capability. Since the complex is a single workspace for a number of ministries and related services, the accuracy of the recognition algorithms was one of the most important factors in choosing a technological partner.

NtechLab’s algorithms are fast and accurate and are optimized to work with many popular brands of equipment. The facial recognition system based on them provides a high level of security and also minimizes the number of social contacts, which is especially important during pandemics.

PARTNER

Rostelecom is Russia’s largest integrated provider of digital services and solutions, with a leading position on the market of telecommunications services for the Russian government and corporate users at all levels.

OBJECTIVES

To equip the access control system in the «Tower of Ministries» with facial recognition using the Unified Biometric System.

SOLUTION

The pilot project was implemented using the FindFace SDK library, which allowed Rostelecom to optimize costs, ensuring the high reliability of the building access control system.
